This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois and west
central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


A line of thunderstorms will move into the area tonight, most likely
after 3 am. Scattered damaging wind gusts are possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.


An isolated thunderstorm is possible Tuesday afternoon, which could
produce gusty winds or hail.

A better chance for organized severe weather will occur Wednesday
afternoon and evening, with damaging winds, large hail, and
tornadoes
possible.

River flooding will continue on much of the Illinois River for
several days.

Spotter activation may be needed after 3 am tonight.

Counties.

Illinois River at Beardstown affecting Morgan, Cass, Schuyler and
Brown Counties.

Illinois River near Havana affecting Cass, Fulton and Mason
Counties.

.The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil
moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Illinois River at Peoria.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Some flooding begins to bottomland not
protected by levees.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 18.8 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 AM CDT Monday was 19.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Wednesday evening and continue falling to 16.1 feet Monday,
May 13.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
